Frequently Asked Questions
Why can’t you accept a physical therapy referral? Our staff consists of certified and licensed Athletic Trainers. We cannot legally accept physical therapy referrals as our staff are not Physical Therapists. Please navigate to the “What is an Athletic Trainer?” tab to learn the difference between an Athletic Trainer and a Physical Therapist.
Does my provider need to use your Athletic Trainer Referral form? No. If the referral uses verbiage such as “Athletic Trainer referral”, “evaluate and treat by licensed Athletic Trainer”, “physical rehabilitation”, or “evaluate and treat”, we can accept it. Please navigate to the “Physician/Provider Referral” tab for examples.
Why can’t I email you my forms? KSC RehabWorks cannot accept any documents via email without encryption due to NASA’s policies regarding the handling Personal Identifiable Information (PII).
What about a copay or insurance? We do not accept copay or insurance. This is a service provided by NASA for the benefit of the KSC workforce.
