Start and end dates are determined by the scheduling and availability of your Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP). Full semester experiences typically begin in January, May, or August, but we adapt to meet the immersive period programming needs for each ATEP.

Please adhere to the following for deadlines based on approximate start dates:

Spring semester (January-April)- Deadline is October 1st

Summer semester (May-August)- Deadline is March 1st

Fall semester (September- December)- Deadline is June 1st

Following the receipt of a prospective AT student’s application, there will be a formal interview process with the RehabWorks AT staff after the deadline has passed.

All students must be US citizens due to the extensive requirements for security clearances.

• Resume
• 3 Letters of Reference
• School Transcript

The KSC RehabWorks Clinical Experience is part of the KSC Volunteer Services Program. Any student taking part in the KSC RehabWorks is not a Federal employee.

Kennedy Space Center Volunteer Services Program

1. Definitions: Student volunteer service is service performed under 5 U.S.G.3111, with the permission of the institution at which the student is enrolled, as part of an agency program established for providing educational experience for the student.
2. "Under 5 U.S.G.3111, a student volunteer is not a Federal employee for any purposes other than injury compensation and law related to the Tort Claims Act. Service is not creditable for leave or any employee benefits."
